Why science? If not science, then what?
There is so much variety and freedom in science, both in what you choose to study and how you choose to study it! My favorite parts of science are the opportunities to creatively design and develop an experiment or new technique to answer a question. The exhilaration one feels when an experiment or technique finally works after months of planning and frustration is totally worth it! If not science, then I think I would have been a mechanic; I like working with my hands and getting dirty!
